This is the story of the Australian Companies of the Imperial Camel Corps, the irrepressible group of hard fighting men who, after the evacustion from Gallipoli, engaged the enemy in the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East. Later the men were formed into the 14th and 15th Australian Light Horse Regiments and fought in the Jordan Valley, Amman, and Damascus, before their return to Australia in 1919. The Author was a Lieutenant Colonel commanding the 1st Australian Camel Battalion. .
