Sydney: The Shakespeare Head, 1948. 300 g; 256 pages in original dark red boards, with colour illustrated dust jacket. The paper used his war economy, and all the pages have browned relatively uniformly, how ever there is offset tanning/foxing/stain to the rear pasted down and end page, with absolutely no damage at that place to the dust jacket. The dust jacket is badly torn, and chipped with loss across the bottom edge. A digital image can be provided to help assess condition. The front fold over flap shows signs of foxing, the rear fold over flap is creased. "Here, brilliantly recorded by the author of We Ask so Little, is the tale of a modern girl and a modern marriage -- a story as smooth and vivid as the flower for which it is named." Rear fold over blurb. First Australian Edition. Hardcover. Good/Damaged. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Novel.
