Rare edition of Merlin Literary journal, edited by Alexander Trocchi, and published in Paris in the 1950's and 60's; the journal had a short life span but published some important work - this volume is notable for an extract from Beckett's Molloy, preceding the first English edition of 1955; other contributors include Christopher Logue, Jerome Salzmann, Martin Seymour-Smith; also includes a series of b&w photos by Brassai; illustrations for Molloy by Robert Culff, line drawings by Jack Youngerman; this copy Very Good throughout; covers are lightly rubbed, with some tanning to rear, some wear along spine, 1x4cm loss to front cover at tail of spine and 1x1cm loss at head of spine.
