Largely based on "Stora Kokboken" by Edith Ekegardh and Britta Haggren, this little but quite comprehensive book gives useful information and many tested recipes. The section on the smorgasbord is a welcome corrective to the travesty so beloved of certain hotels here. Black soup, marinated salmon and Christmas bread are among the interesting recipes.
