Clean & untouched inside, unread. :: An exact reprint of the 1974 Riedel edition, slightly reduced in size, with all illustrations, (including colour frontispiece) text, etc. Additionally it contains a new list of errata by Hill, and a new introduction, and some new material from some new MS that were not to hand for the original edition. First published c. 1200. A truly wonderful book, containing designs for clocks, pumps, trick drinking vessels, that are so detailed that many of the designs have been recreated using only his instructions. I have seen a review online that described the b/w illustrations as "muddy", and the overall quality of the book as poor. I have compared it with the original Riedel edition, and apart from the size reduction, the quality is comparable. This is not a cheap book to produce, and the publishers have done a wonderful job of making it available, as the original Reidel edition is well-nigh unobtainable now.. 2nd. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good+. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
