London, 1765. Translated into English. Sections on continual fevers, putrid fevers, ardent fevers, intermitting fevers, acute febrile diseases, a phrenzy in fevers, index. 471pp + index. Front cover present but detached, vertical split down leather ribbed spine, back cover attached but worn. Blank endpapers in fair condition, front one is chipped and torn in margins, back ones are torn and creased, only half of last endpaper is present. The printed pages are in much better condition : title page has pencilled date, owner's name etc; some corners are turned/creased; p227-238 are only just attached; a few pages have watermarks in corners. Despite these faults the contents are complete, and the pages are otherwise clean. Owner inscription on front stuckdown. Note that f is used instead of s in the text. Fascinating piece of medical history. Well worth rebinding. 620g.. Full-Leather. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
