The text is illustrated with numerous colour and black-and-white photographs, colour and black-and-white illustrations and black-and-white line drawings. Blue coloured boards with silver titles to the backstrip. Minor bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and a little rubbing to the lower right-hand corner of book. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front end paper. The internal text, for the most part has been printed on a glossy white paper, but from page 257 to the end of the book the page has become a white paper but is not glossy, these pages have become quite aged toned. Photographic dustwrapper with a white background with black, blue and red titles to the front panel and blue and red titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and a little chipping to the dustwrapper corners. Heavy rubbing and creasing to the top dustwrapper edge and lighter creasing to the lower dustwrapper edge. The top edge of the front fold over creas has a 0.25 " tear. The white of the background has become somewhat yellowed and dull. In 1970 Jacques-Yves Cousteaub and crew of Calypso went to the Silver Bank, in the Caribbean, to see if they could find the wreck of the Spanish ship Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion. This ship was the flagship of a small Armada, of 23 ships, laden with treasure loted from the South American continent, and was on route back to Spain when a hurricaine in 1641 sank her on the Silver Bank coral reef off the island of Hispaniola. She was laden with 250 million pounds worth of treasure when she was sunk. Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his crew went looking for one: -- to actually find this ship and two: -- to see if any of the treasure was still there.
