A little bumping to the top backstrip edge and rubbing to all book edges. Light dustiness to the top text block edge and the boards are slightly bowed. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the free front end paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, by Barrie Scott, with white background and back titles to the front panel and backstrip. Author photograph to the rear dustwrapper panel. A little rubbing increasing to be dustwrapper edges. The wife of the background has become somewhat dull and yellowed and both the front and rear dustwrapper panel show and handling marks. There is a small 0.5 " tear to the lower left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel. Set in the American West in 1876 and just prior to Custer's last stand, it is the story of a young Blackfoot widow who goes on a vengeance trail to find the three men who killed her husband, who happened to be white.
