The text is illustrated with numerous black and white text illustrations and nine colour plates, drawn by Mary and Elizabeth Durack. Green coloured boards with 2 small black-and-white illustrations of babies on the front panel. Black titles to the front panel. Rubbing and bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and rubbing to the book boards. The results of insect activity can be seen on to the top right-hand corner of the front panel and along the edge of the rear book panel and to the edge of the rear book panel. Fading to the top edge of the front book panel and a little fading to the top rear book panel. Offset tanning, foxing and browning to the endpapers. Light browning to the internal text. Illustrated dustwrapper with brown background and black and white titles to the front panel and back to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping, with loss to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the backstrip. Pieces are missing from the dustwrapper, commensurate with underlying damage to the boards. Rubbing increasing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges and there are a few small closed tears as well. Quite heavy fading to the backstrip, the top left-hand corner of the front panel, the first 2.5 inches of the top edge of the rear panel and 2.5 inches running beside the backstrip of the rear panel. The rear panel folder over has been almost completely come away from the rest of the panel, due to insect activity. A classic Australian children's tale using aboriginal mythology as a springboard. In the book, Nungaree and Jungaree have numerous adventures looking for their baby brother who has been stolen by a whirlwind. Digital image available upon request..
