Willis (1858-1922) would be described in newspaper parlance as a 'colourful racing identity'. Contents dealing with slave trade, prostitution, coruption and all the other vices including Opium dens. CONDITION Red cloth bds have moisture speckling and associated bowing to front bds (no musty odour I can notice) bruised top front cnr, couple of tiny nicks to rear bd, pp 168 with 2 half tone photo plates. Internally bright with some minor spotting at eps and edges, very odd top cnr of page folded. Bds not the best but interior nice and clean.. First Edition. Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
