In 1803 William Buckley was transported to Australia and soon after landing escaped with a number of convicts into the unexplored area of what is now Melbourne, he survived and lived for 32 years with the aborigines, an account of his experiences as well as nearly unique descriptions of Aborigine culture before European contact, also included is an account of James Morrill's 17 years spent living as an Aborigine in Northern Queensland.
