LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

Sydney: Paul Hamlyn, 1970. 1.35 kg; 252 pp. Profusely Illustrated with colour photographs, indexed, with conversion tables, and black-and-white photography. The photographic illustrated dustwrapper has been viciously attacked, and has numerous mid-length tears, and chipping. Now protected. Traces of foxing to the first couple of pages, otherwise in very good condition. This book caters both to the beginner and the gourmet, and one of the delights of the author's books, is that the dishes turn out edible and looking like the finished product as illustrated in the books. Margaret did not try to create recipes, and then tell the reader to buy for example "garam masala" because in those days that item was not easily sourced. Instead, the various elements of the masala are indicated, and instructions are given for their preparation, in a simple, non-mystical manner, so that the cook is suddenly creating Indian food, or French cuisine or Middle Eastern dishes. Please note that this book will weigh more than 1 kg packed, and extra postage will be requested for delivery outside of Australia.. Reprint. Yellow Cloth. Good/Damaged. Illus. by Photographic. quarto - over 9¾" - 12" Tall. Cooking.
