LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

New York: Ukranian Academy of Arts and Sciences, 1966. 700 g.; 176 pages, only pages 7-16 are in English. This includes a chronological survey of his life from the time he was born in the Western Ukraine to his death in 1956 in New York. (Also includes references to posthumous one-man shows). The rest of the text is in Ukrainian. At page 65, through to page 109, are tipped in full-colour plates with the title and year of painting in English and Ukrainian, and the verso of each page blank, pages 111 -- 155 follow the same format except that the illustrations are reproduced in black-and-white on the page, the final section of the book is in Ukrainian, and I apologise but I cannot decipher it. The edges of the text block uniformly darkens from exposure to light, and there is and ownership inscription dated 1968 on the front end page. The book came with a clear thick cellophane dustwrapper, which has lost a portion starting at be left-hand corner bottom edge of the front panel across the spine for a height of approximately 1 inch, and then tapering off to the left on the rear panel. Curiously enough the clear plastic seems to have prevented fading of the cloth except where it is missing. There is also a 1.5 inch tear to the clear plastic at the top right-hand corner of the rear panel. A digital image of the damage can be provided upon request.. First Edition. Grey Cloth. Good. Illus. by Miroslaw Radysh. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Art -- Retrospective.
