There is a sticker pasted on the title page bearing the publisher's name, and visible through the sticker is F. W. Cheshire, so obviously there was some publication dispute, or perhaps, the original plates were sold to the current publisher. This book is a record of a family connection with school teaching, unbroken for more than a century, written by the author whilst in her 80s, which is a vitally important addition to a social history of education in this country. -- paraphrasing the front fold over blurb.
