Filmed entirely in Indonesia, the videos show training sessions and a demonstration fight. They also introduce the concept of Tenaga Dalam and show this in action during the Tari Piring. Emphasis is placed on the combatants' efforts to avoid conflict. The first version has an English voice-over, explaining what is happening. This would be suitable for primary schools, both for those beginning their study of Indonesian and as part of an introduction to Indonesian culture. Suggested questions and a lesson plan are provided. For the other three versions a transcript and a translation are provided, along with a table of vocabulary used, a close exercise, a list of questions and suggested answers as well as a proposed lesson plan. The second version has a voice-over in simple Indonesian. This would be suitable for Years Eight and Nine. The third version has a voice-over in more advanced Indonesian. This would be suitable for Years Ten and Eleven. The fourth version has a dialogue, in advanced Indonesian, between a teacher and two students. This would be suitable for Years Ten to Twelve. A set of forty nine photos is included on the CD for use in other exercises associated with the Pencak Silat video. .
