Ours is an ex-library copy in transparent protective covering, with usual stamps, stickers, etc. Sound binding. VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket. Carl Perkins became friends with Elvis Presley at Sun Records, and the pair were joined on the road by Johnny Cash and others for history-making tours of the South. Perkins is best known for 'Blue Suede Shoes' - a million seller - pushing him to international stardom (and the long descent into alcoholism). The Beatles recorded several of his compositions, a star-crossed pattern that continued even after he achieved a hard-won sobriety, with a personal battle with cancer. Legend!
