LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

London: Blackie & Son. Very rare book by the Victorian classic author, known particularly for his fairy tales, but also for his poems. No date of publication, but a school presentation sticker on the inside of cover is dated December 21, 1891. The book was first published in 1873 by Henry S King. This appears to be the first publication by Blackie & Son, probably in the late 1880's. Very clean throughout, with hardly any browning or foxing of pages visible, which points to the high quality materials used by the 19th Century publisher. Green cloth with gilt lettering on both the cover and the spine, with a gilt figure of a kneeling boy stamped on the front cover. Further information and/or an E-mail photo available on request.. Original Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
