Millie Hylton(1868-1920) was a major performer both of music hall, musical comedy and burlesque and was a member of a performing family with names such as Adelaide Astor, Lydia Flopp, Fanny Dango and Letty Lind.Millie sang jolly boy and masher songs and was a competent male impersonator especially pre 1900, after which she moved across to the theatre. This song was a major song for her and set the tone for her male impersonations for the next few years. This portrait has appeared in many books on the theatre and more specifically the music hall. Folio size with music. Slightly lightly foxed in parts else condition Good.
