London: Gollancz, 1948. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. No. The Viktor Gollancz Left Book Club publication of a much quoted classic. In 1947, immediately after the war, Ella Lingens-Reiner, a German doctor and a non Jewish prisoner in Auswitz, wrote of her experiences and observations in the camp. The red papered boards has rubbing to edges, spotting to front and rear end pages. The binding is tight and sound. By no means a perfect copy but rare in any condition. pp195
