The text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations, charts and maps. Blue/green coloured boards with gilt embossed name on the front panel and gilt writing on the spine. Corners of the book are bumped, rubbed and frayed as are the head and the heel of the spine. The cloth of the panel's have grubby marks and a somewhat faded, particularly on the spine. Browning and boxing marks to the paper edge, top edge particularly affected. The remains of tape can be seen on the endpapers and there is offset tanning to the free front endpaper, and foxing to the endpapers. Faint foxing marks to the internal pages. Previous owner's name on the free front endpaper. Both the front and back hinges are split, and the spine is slightly cocked. The front board is also slightly bowed. A biography of that most enigmatic man William Bligh.. New and Revised Edition. Blue /Green Cloth. Poor/Nil as Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. History.
