Maroon coloured boards with gilt decoration and writing on the front panel and spine. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to all book edges. Rubbing to the book panels and the gilt has also been worn a little. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Browning to the internal pages and previous owners stamp on the front paste down and date stamp -- 27 Jul 1930 on the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. There are a few tears, from rough handling, to the internal pages. Illustrated dustwrapper, with a color wraparound painting of a man in a tuxedo pointing a gun over a table scattered with cards at another man who is holding up his hands while a mysterious group of men in Ku Klux Klan like hooded robes aims guns as well, with red and black writing on the front panel and black on the spine. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top front spine gutter edge. There has been a little rubbing of the dustwrapper but the major fault of the dustwrapper is on the verso side where some foxing spots and other marks are visible. This is a mystery-adventure at sea and on the Alaskan coast involving a deserted and derelict ship.. Reprint. Maroon Cloth with Illustration. Reasonable for Age/Reasonable for Age. 16mo - up to 6 ¾" tall - Sextodecimo. Novel.
