Endpapers are illustrated by a map, showing area were the kangaroos were studied. Illustrated title page, showing three kangaroos around a waterhole, by Roy B. Doyle. Within the text there are 12 full-page black and white illustrations by Roy B. Doyle, at the beginning of each chapter. Quarter bound spine in bone coloured cloth with dark brown boards and dark brown writing on spine. The corners slightly rubbed and there is minor shelf wear to the bottom edges of book. The head and the humorous by a slightly bumped. Some faint dust marks to the top paper edge. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Roy B. Doyle, showing a mother kangaroo and young, with bone coloured background dark writing on front panel and spine. Dustwrapper is slightly rubbed and faded. The corners of the dustwrapper are chipped, the back bottom corner having a small piece missing. There is chipping and creasing along the top and bottom edges of dustwrapper and there are a few small tears along the top dustwrapper edge. Some grubby marks to front and back panel panel. The front fold over has some creasing running along the full-length of the dustwrapper. This book is 12 months in the life of a small kangaroo group in New South Wales..
