T. Nelson & Sons, London, 1859. 416 pp including index, coloured engraved plates, spine very slightly faded, else a very fine copy in gold-blocked, lavender boards.. This book is from the library of The Convent of the Immaculate Lady of Mercy, Melbourne, recently dispersed.The books were apparently locked in the Mother Superiors cupboards for 150 years, with virtually nobody having access to them, notwithstanding the sanctimonious and peril-warning notes written in several. Apart from a neat label of association, the book is virtually as purchased, midway through the century before last!
