Melbourne: F.W.Cheshire, 1964. XII, 128 pp, acknowledgements, introduction by author, select bibliography. Maroon coloured endpapers. Throughout the text there are black and white photographs and illustrations decorating the book. Illustrated boards, showing iorn lacework, with silver writing on the spine. The corners of book slightly rubbed and bumped as are the head and heel of spine. The front panel is slightly bowed. Previous owners name on the ffep, and there are the remains of tape on both front and back endpapers. Photographic dustwrapper, showing Banyule, Heidelberg, with white background and purple and black writing on front panel and purple and blue on spine. Corners of the dustwrapper slightly rubbed and along the fore edges of the book. Chipping and creasing has occurred to the top dustwrapper edge. The panels are quiet grubby, there is the remains of booksellers stcker on front fold over. The text was first written for the newspaper 'The Age' in Melbourne, and deals with selected buildings from Victoria's pioneering past and how they came to be.. First Edition. illustrated Boards. Fair/Poor. 4to - up to 12" tall - Quarto. History/Australiana.
