London: Century, 1984. War thriller. BOOK:- Binding is tight, no loose pages. Black boards are clean, Gilt titles are without tarnish or loss. There is a slight "crush" on the spine head, inflecting the ridge by about 1mm. There are no corner bumps. There are no ink names, stamps, or other permanent markings. Across the edges of the text block there is a fine scattered foxing. The front free endpaper has four isolated spots of foxing between 3 and 4 o'clock on the right edge. The rear free endpaper has a very narrow "band" of foxing along the ridge of the right edge. The text pages are browned, but clean. DUST JACKET:- Jacket is intact, with price on the front flap (£7.95 net). There are no tears, chips, lacerations or creases. The top edge of the front flap has a very mild crumple. The wear on the edges is so minimal that it requires careful scrutiny to see it. Interior of the jacket shows the beginnings of a very faint scattered foxing; there is no show-through to the outer panel surfaces.
