Else good. This book is written in 2 parts. In the first, the series of illustrated letters that Morland-Hughes, of the 5th Royal Gurkha Rifles, wrote to his teenage brother are reproduced. In the second, pages from his sketchbook, showing the various incidents in the life of his regiment from 1939 until just before his departure for Italy in 1943, are reproduced. The charm and humour of the letters and sketches are tinged with poignancy when we recall that Morland-Hughes died in action in Italy in 1944.
