Innsbruck ,Johann Gross. 1889. Folio with music. With a mainly colour lithograph of a group of young women ( mainly) arriving at a hilltop in the Tyrol where a bevy of milk maids are welcoming them , playing the zither and milking the cows. The composer Wendlin Kopetzky(1844-1899) was born in Jincin in Austria. He appears to have been the Military Bandmaster of the army of Herzog Von Wurttemberg and thus also a Kapellmeister of the Austro-Hungarian Army. A number of his published pieces are listed in Rehrig's Encyclopedia of Band Music .The music is dated by the publisher 7/89. Condition VG .
