Offenbach, Jean Andre . ( c 1820). Adalbert Gyrowetz (1763-1850) was born in Vienna and was a prolific composer moving across Europe where he was befriended by Mozart. In Paris several popular pieces attributed to Haydn were established as his and high prices were thereafter paid for his work.The French Revolution sent him to England but he soon returned to Vienna where he remained. he was successful until the 1830's but then his work fell from favour.He wrote thirty operas and over sixty symphonies published in London Paris Vienna and Offenbach Sur le Mein. .Folio size 1st violin copy . 19pp. condition V/G.
