Red cloth-bound boards with faded gold type to spine, Rommel's plan of Tobruk attack as two-colour endpapers, b&w photo of Rommell at Alamein as frontis illustration, 22 b&w maps, 24 b&w photographs. Fascinating account of WWII from Rommel's own hand, France, Africa (mainly), Italy & the Invasion. Rommel's son, Manfred, provides an interesting history of re-assembling the material from diverse sources after VE Day. Original bookseller's stamp to various pages (not affecting text). Book has minor shelf-wear.
