Ours is an ex-library copy in transparent protective covering, with usual stamps, stickers, pocket etc. Book in GOOD condition. The texile collection in Taipei's National Palace Museum is devoted exclusively to silk tapestry, 30 of which are reproduced here in full colour. Embroidery, too, has been a highly-prized Chinese art, practised by women since the earliest times - from the Sung and Yuan dynasties onwards calligraphy & painting began to be embroided; 20 of the most interesting examples in the Museum's collection are also reproduced here in full colour.
