Green cloth-bound boards with silver type to spine & gold type to front, with 12 full-colour tipped-in reproductions of Roberts's best-known works, and eleven-page essay "Tom Roberts, His Life and Work" by Robert Campbell. Tom Roberts ('the Father of Australian Painting') was a member of the famous Heidelberg School, centred in Melbourne in the early twentieth century. 'His work was based on a direct and exact observation of nature - an unprententious statement of what he saw and felt' writer Campbell claims.
