A century's handling has resulted in minor soiling to cover boards, and some slight foxing. Both books carry original bookseller's small stamp inside front cover. Two books in GOOD condition. [These books came to us as a pair, and we are reluctant to separate them]. Book One edited by H C Beeching, MA; has his seven-page Introduction (4 lines underscored in pencil), and 82 pages of Notes (contributed 1695-1859 by eight scholars over several editions), and publisher's advertisments at rear (16 pages). Some pencil underscoring to text; dark-blue spine covering. Book Two edited by E K Chambers, BA; has his seven-page Introduction (9 underscored lines in pencil), and 57 pages of Notes (borrowed fron eight earlier editions), and publisher's advertisments at rear (16 pages).
