Thick green card covers with black type to spine & front, with 275 b&w line drawings of modelling detail. Six Chapters: Merits of Scale; Track Work and Layout Design; Modelling Railway Buildings; Building and Equipment Designs; Rolling Stock and Motive Power; and Completing the Scenic Picture. Book gives special reference to "OO" and "HO" guages. Book has poorly-fitted transparent plastic cover taped to inside covers, now staining opposite endpapers. Previous owner's name to ffep underscored in red crayon. Ffep has extensive tears. Twelve letters of title-page type also coloured-in in red crayon. None of the foregoing effects the textual matter which is complete and fully legible.
