Title page inscription SIGNED BY ETCHER and dated 'Christmas, 1985', 44 etchings reflected aspects of author's life. This book is printed in brown on cream stock. Born in Austria in 1929, 'Polde' (as she was known) migrated to Australia with her new husband in the late 1940s. Her sculptures, statues and paintings can be found throughout Australian homes and churches; she was awarded the Order of Australia for her service to sculpture.
