Farouk, a handsome prince, was raised in a world of women, came to the throne too young, and slowly turned from a fine young man to a disillusioned satrapic potentate famed for his girls, his gambling, his collections and pornography, his debauchery and corruption. Plus Nasser, Moslem Brotherhood, Jews in Palestine, guerilla warfare, the coup d' etat, and exile. He died in Rome in 1965.
