Australian Railways Historical Society, Melbourne, first edition ISBN:0858490374, 1991. Softcover, 6¼" x 8¼. Corner cut from front endpaper (previous owner's name?). Book VERY GOOD condition. The Strzelecki Railway, a broad-guage branch line, was opened in 1922 and ran from the South Gippsland line, crossed the Koo-wee-rup swamp through Bayles, Catani and Yannathan, followed the Lang Lang River valley through Heathhill, Athlone, Topiram and Triholm, then climbed and twisted high up the mountain to its terminus at Strzelecki. This is a very thorough and highly illustrated history of the line, which closed in 1930, although it last section continued until 1959.
