A six-page Introduction broadly outlines Laurie Wilson's life and photographic work; it is followed by over a hundred photographs drawn from his final decade. "His work has a passion and energy which transcends boundaries and comes to grips with creation itself, in its perception of time's motion and the fleeting glances of light and shade shed upon the bare bones of the land" - Laurie Wilson was a remarkable and original photographer who seldom travelled far from his home in Geelong, Australia; he received little recognition during his lifetime (1920 - 1980).
