Fawn cloth-bound boards with gold type to spine and front, photographic frontis (detail from 'Bronze Bust of Michelangelo' Florence), illustrated title page, 32 b&w photographic plates, facsimiles of 1564 Homage, notes on the illustrations, and index. The memorial service for Michelangelo, held in the Church of San Lorenzo in Florence in July 1564, was a magnificent spectacle. The preparations, the ceremony and decorations were described for prosperity in a booklet which is here reproduced in facsimile with an annotated translation.
