Faber & Faber, London - first edition, 1940. Hardcover, 8¼" x 5¼", with jacket parts internally mounted. Previous owner's name to early page. Remnants of possible library label inside front cover. Wear to spine ends. Book in FAIR condition. Blue cloth-bound boards with gold type to spine, and red tinted edges. A rattling good story with a sea-faring background, based on the author's years of adventure and first hand experiences. Published in London during the Second World War, our copy is rather tired with a few stained pages, dog-ears, and exposed front hinge.
