LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

Imperial Chemical Industries, publishers, Manchester, UK, 1952. hardcover, 6¼" x 9¾" (no jacket issued). Previous owner's inscription to free front endpaper (inc 'Venezuela, 1953'). Book in GOOD condition. Many tables and charts. In this book the word 'nylon' refers to polyhexamethyleneadipamide, the only nylon then in commercial supply. The dyeing behaviour and fastness properties of a given dyestuff may differ very appreciably on nylon fibre from those observed on either wool or natural silk. The information in this book has been obtained by working with nylon containing about 0.3% of titanium dioxide delustrant (added before spinning). Light fastness values were also obtained on this material.
