LAST ITEM HELD MATCHING THIS TITLE STATED:

Museum Press, London - first edition, 1957. hardcover, 8 3/4" x 5 1/2", with dust jacket. VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket. Dark-brown cloth-bound boards, photographic frontis illustration (North Cape], map, 15 b&w photographs, index. A most unusual travel book - north by sea along the Norwegian coast, into the Arctic Circle, round North Cape and further, to witness with the Laplanders (the Gypsies of the North) the sun's return above the horizon for a few bare minutes (a sight which had escaped human observation for twenty years) and their associated festivals. Our copy has small gap in jacket at spine top, now protected under transparent covering; minor tape stains to endpapers, some foxing to top & fore-edge.
