Chapter 10 contains an interesting account of Sub-Inspector Limbo and his attitudes towards Gardiner and other bushrangers. Brennan who was the Senior Superintendent of Police, also wrote a manuscript, now housed in the Mitchell Library (A2030), called "Police History of Notorious Bushrangers" which to date remains unpublished.
