Heinemann, London 1970. It seemed like a simple idea from the British side - The German Battleships 'Gneisenau', 'Prinz Eugen', and 'Scharnhorst' were penned up in Brest, France 12th February 1942 - all the Royal Navy had to do was to keep the ships penned up - they all escaped back to Germany under the Allied noses. It became the war's biggest fiasco. Nice condition. Maroon cloth covered end boards. 235pp. 222 x 130mm.
