All text and plates in vgc to near fine condition (subject to following noted flaws); scattered foxing throughout (but minor); 1" unclosed tear to p. 28 LR edge, v. small unclosed tear p. 12; Plate V small unclosed tear lower bottom middle, Plate VIII tissue-mended tear expertly performed LR; small numerals in ink back of Plate IX; ifc/fep slight browning and some evidence of water-stain; price of 15/- small in ink fep; all text and plates o/w in near fine condition; book has been re-bound in half-leather w/marbled endpapers, title gilt type runs from bottom upwards ("wrong way"), reinforcing cloth tape neatly inserted across fep and rep spine joins.
