Cancellation of Orders
Once payment for an order is processed then the order is firm as we electronically submit it through our system to the supplier/s. It is possible to cancel an order providing no item in the order has already been shipped by the supplier dealer. If an order can still be cancelled online by you because no items have yet been shipped, then a Cancel Order button will be enabled in your Order History record.
Most bookdealers will ship the book within 24 hours and, depending on the time zone differences across the world and the location where a book is stocked then this can happen very quickly, even if you place the order after your own business hours.
Payment is processed instantly on the National Secure Internet Payment Service. If you choose one of the other payment options then the order is firm once we have electronically submitted it and a dealer ships any one item in the order . You can see the current status of any of your orders by logging in and clicking on the "Order History" button on the left side menu or on the "My Orders" icon in the horizontal toolbar.
You can cancel an order yourself that is UNPAID (ie. the order has been created but a payment has not yet been processsed).
UNPAID orders can be cancelled and the items returned to your Book Basket by using the "Order History" button.
If you have made a genuine error and contact us immediately, preferably by phone or email, then it is sometimes possible to cancel an order that has already been electronically submitted. This possibility depends upon whether any one item in an order has been responded to by a supplier.
