Can I Use BiblioQuest Discount Vouchers to Buy Books on BibliOZ?
There are two booksearch systems operated by BiblioQuest and they do work on a different basis with different pricing and discount models.
BibliOZ.com has a Preferred Client Program where customers receive a min. 5% discount off the normal price of their online orders. This discount is calculated automatically in the Book Basket. Because the search is being done by yourself online and there is next to no labour on our part involved, we can offer this level of discount. Joining this program is by invitation or the payment of a $55 membership fee.
BiblioQuest also has its Global BookSearch Service and this is a more traditional labour-intensive booksearch operation whereby trained booksearch staff or professional librarians conduct the search for you using various techniques, including contacting individual booksellers or specialist antiquarians with requests for those items. Obviously the costs of searching, compiling/sending quotes and processing orders for this system means that our ability to discount is very limited. Usually this service also charges an upfront fee of $10 plus the cost of the book and GST. If a search fee is paid then the customer receives one or more $10 Purchase Discount Vouchers and these can be used to reduce the final price of an order. These vouchers can only be used for orders quotes by the BiblioQuest Global BookSearch Service (ie. they are NOT applicable to BibliOZ.com) and only one voucher or discount can be used per item ordered.
There is a linked form on BibliOZ that we make available to customers that enables them to submit requests to the BiblioQuest Global BookSearch Service free of charge. We also sometimes offer a $10 incentive for customers to respond quickly to emailed BiblioQuest quotes as they are often very time-sensitive.
If you are or have been a BiblioQuest Private Client then you automatically qualify to be given Preferred Client status on BibliOZ.
