FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

for registered sellers on www.biblioz.biz

Q1. I have received and email notification of a BibliOZ.com order! What do I do now?

A1. After picking yourself up off the floor, rub your eyes, and double-check it is true... then proceed to process the order in the following way:

Q2. Can you tell me everything I need to know about uploading my inventory?

A2. Once you have registered at the Bookseller Management Services website at www.biblioz.biz (BOZBIZ for short) then you are able to upload your inventory. In almost every case, you can use the same method of uploading to BOZBIZ - and the same software - as you do for other book marketplace listing services. While similar in that respect, BOZBIZ is the primary database for BibliOZ.com and we are resellers, not a listing service, and so we mark-up your books to sell to our customers.

The Help menu on www.biblioz.biz has an extensive help menu on the topic of uploads. You can find it by entering the word "upload" in the Search Help query box or by clicking HERE

Q3. Why would I use FTP, and by the way, what is it?

A3. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a well-accepted efficient method for transferring data over the internet. You can use either the web upload option from the BOZBIZ Bookseller Menu or FTP. The file size limit for web upload is 10MB (megabytes). Files larger than that require FTP however it is a good option for files anywhere from several MB in size and up.. But for FTP to work you need to request that we set up an FTP account for you with your username. You can do that at the time your register or by emailing us at bookseller-support@biblioz.com When we setup an FTP account for you we send an email with the FTP address and provide you with a separate password. If your existing software does not have FTP capability, you can use MS Internet Explorer to FTP or use dedicated FTP client software (we highly recommend FileZilla, which can be downloaded free).

The Help menu on www.biblioz.biz has an extensive help menu on the topic of uploads, including using FTP. You can find it by entering the word "upload" in the Search Help query box or by clicking HERE

Q4. How can I keep track of my online sales to BibliOZ?

Two tips might help here. Both need you to log in to your BOZBIZ account and go to the Bookseller Menu.

I. An overview of your orders can be found by choosing the View my statistics option in the My Account sub-menu. This page will also show you various stats relating to your inventory, including the number of active listings, average price and last upload.

II. To see detailed information for any order, you can choose to View received orders under the My Orders sub-menu. At upper right on that screen there is a pull-down menu that enables you view orders with various statuses or to view ALL orders. The default is set to viewing NEW orders. After you click the GO button, a list will display for NEW orders (or those that have had the status you selected). Just click on the order ID number (it is a blue hyperlink) and the detailed order info page will display.

Q5. When and how will I be paid?

We will pay you monthly via direct deposit to your nominated bank account. Sales for a particular month will be paid on (or about) the 15th of the following month. GST will be added to the base price that appears on biblioz.biz for those dealers registered for the Australian GST and who have supplied us with an ABN. At this stage, we are not requesting any trade discount or commission from you on sales. From August 2005, a trade discount commission of 5% will be deducted from the payment made for sales.

Q6. How can I tell how many books I currently have listed?

After logging in at biblioz.biz select the menu option My Account - View my account statistics. at the top of the screen that displays is the number of Active Listings. You can also see here a range of other helpful statistics relating to your inventory and, below that, to your orders. These statistics include totals and averages for both numbers and prices of your books and orders.
